UE teaches you a bad habit that will get you caught. Pretty much it wastes a perk slot to give you an ability you could have if you learned to stealth properly.
Exactly. The window tech is an exception, but almost no one knows about that tech.
Like Sprint burst, Spine Chill, etc... where it's good but often used wrong to a detrimental degree.
Calling it worthless and everyone who uses it bad however, is just silly.
It's not a meta perk by any means, but it's really good against a lot of killers as a solid counter to them.
Huntress, Plague, Death Slinger, Nurse, etc.....It is also gtreatl for avoiding trapped hag hooks, pyramid head trails, and so on.
Well i guess you have seen the Otz video about how beginners use Sprint Burst , self care , spine chill and Urban Evasion wrong....
But be serious....
Urban Evasion is not really good
On some maps it makes you nearly invisible... but well whats the point ?
You wont get better as a player unless you learn to loop.
I have a friend with 630h in dbd and she plays urban evasion claudette....
She is really hard to find when i play killer vs her but once she is found i need 10-15 seconds to down her cause she has zero.0 looping skills.
There is literally no difference between her 630h and a new 10h survivor in chases....
Your post literally proves how strong the perk can be. If a good claudette looper makes you waste extra time into finding her in the first place, then she is massively screwing you. Time is precious while playing killer at rank 1, and the upcoming Undying nerf is proof of that.
I recall using Urban Evasion at a loop before where the killer was looking at me and he actually completely lost sight of me and took sometime to find me, it was funny af.
I've had other games like that but I usually use Urban Evasion in the killer's terror radius and not on the other side of the map.
There are counters to Urban Evasion like aura reading perks and add-ons for example. Also some killer abilities like Doc too. It amazes me that it bothers this many ppl enough to start this discussion when other things like keys or ds are way worse but they've also had plenty of those threads to be fair.
I have but I mean; that was public knowledge long before he made that video. He isn't the only person that plays this game a lot.
Also, I am serious, Urban Evasion is alright. It's not some meta perk, but it's hardly bad.
You are literally describing situations where you assume the player is bad and just using that perk; and not talking about the perk itself which in the hands of a good player, can be tremendously useful.
You have things a bit mixed up there.
Generally, you need to know how to loop better than the average player, to use UE properly in chases, you need to know when you need to be seen and chased, and when you need to be hidden. You have to know hit boxes better than most people; and about things like invisible collision areas to abuse it most efficiently.
Just because most people that use it are clueless and off self caring in a bush doesn't make it bad; just them.
