The want something for the old and new players to be happy with.
I think they change it a little bit maybe in the next mid-chapter-patch? No official date from the devs :)
The changes to the locomotion certainly feel better now, but I'm still not a fan of the current crawl animation (let me spin on the ground pls) or the injured running animation.
Well, I speak for only female characters. I only play Claudette.
Spinning on the ground was great, if they say its unrealistic then so is the current weird worm thing its doing now.
Turning and running just feels awkward and slow.
The character running injured looks like a sack of potatoes being dragged around.
Everything just feels off.
I used to have fun just running around in this game but now it just feels disappointing and not fun.
I think that's better honestly.
It feels fine to me now that you turn instantly and everything again.
Lastly the injured animation is going to be changed, so are a few other things based on feedback they said.
The standing still posture is just off.. Nobody's as straight as a ruler.
I couldn't do quick enough turns let alone spin on my controller on the ps5 version any more even turning the cam sensitivity knob all the way up to the right, so i assume I wouldn't be able to do it on the pc either with my controller and I'm not gonna bother relearning the chiddy game all over again on mouse/kb especially with the tendon problems developing in my left arm which would be the damned one doing the wsad. I already stopped enjoying killer along time back late last year. So I guess I'm about to go another 4 years without playing, probably permanently this time that said the new killer did look pretty cool though but too late for me.
Now neither side of the game is fun for me any more even if survivor queues were under a minute again. There's a couple other asyms coming out this eyar on top of evil dead and back for blood so between those at least one of them should be worth playing. Or, asyms could die as quickly as they came which would also be a boon.
I get the management making the decisions likely doesn't play the game on a regular basis to notice a difference (probably playing civ) but someone on the QA team must have got ignored trying to tell them this isnt a good idea or close to being ready.
If they really have a QA team, well they are all probably playing civilization during their work time too. ;)
