Self Preservation challenge

"Hide in a locker within 5 seconds of being in a chase with a Killer. Complete this challenge in a single trial."
I don't really understand what I'm supposed to do. Help?

Probably. I've done it several times, and it works for me, but I admit there are potential flaws in it, because again... You have 5 seconds. Not to mention, DBD has always been a bit confusing at gauging distance and timers in-game. Keep your eye on the top right when it registers you as in a chase and when it says you have escaped. I'm pretty sure you want to be in the locker before the chase is registered as ended, but you can certainly go within the 5 seconds of receiving the "Escaped" message too. Good luck.

um question this is a challenge. you can do it only once so how have you " I've done it several times" there would be no way of knowing if you did it more than once cause its a one time challenge. if that was a lie to prove or protect your point dont. we need real answers and so far every where i have looked it is said to be a bugged challenge and you are the only one said it can and has been done.

As I recall, I made several attempts to do it, but then once I figured it out I did it multiple times just to be sure it worked. Also, as I recall it was a challenge in more than one tome I think. Lastly, I don't see the point in picking apart my words when I literally offered a suggestion for a technique that worked for me, and as you said, once is enough. So I recommend you offer your own ideas instead of chastising others'.

Hello All. Just wanted to add this here for anyone else that is having an issue with this Challenge... This was the Tomb 6.1 Self Preservation...

A little Background... I had every Survivor Challenge complete in every Tomb except for this one... My OCD was on overdrive because this was bugged for me sense the release of the tomb 6.1. I spent way to much time trying for this Challenge and just could not complete it in every way I could think of and or was suggested every where I looked...

I decided to just put it out of my mind but kept it selected as it was my Only Survivor Challenge left to complete...

Last night 2/3/2023 during an RPD match - WHICH I NEVER GOT INTO A LOCKER THE ENTIRE MATCH... The challenge completed

So for those of you trying to complete it and cannot because it is bugged just make sure you have it selected and play as normal an ignore it and maybe it will just do the same for you. Keep in mind I must have played 50 to 100 matches with nothing happening and then it just did... I would be interested if this happened for anyone else as well and what the circumstances were when it did :)

ok i got this challenge done. all i did was see bubba from around a corner and go back around that corner and into a locker. when i got in it gave it to me. no needing to escape a chase or anything (that you new updates in game on challenges). so maybe the problem is people are waiting to long to go into a locker. they think they are on one second of the chase but really are on 4 seconds. also fierce there are others kinda like this one but not another like this one. im told feng has one like it and when it came out it too was broken but they fixed it. thats why i thought it was so wierd that this was broken for 6-7 months. maybe this last update fixed it or they just messed up in making it and just didnt care enough to truly do it right. so everyone else this challenge is doable but just have the killer see you get out of site and into a locker in under 5 seconds. even if he/she grabs you from the locker its already done.
