Coldwind Farm, why so bright?

I'm not into the lore at all but I thought it was always dark for a reason. Something with the Entity?
How come the Farm is in the daylight then?

The devs figured they'd lighten it up like the saloon map.

They have slowly over time added brightness and less fog to every map but they completely ruined that map by making it basically noon. You can see from one edge of the map to the other and thats not cool at all IMO.

I like the brightness but the aura's are bright pink for some reason and its hard to see fallen survivors aura's.

I see it as the break of dawn...the time a trial would end in the lore if people lived.

Its a horror trope, the last survivor lives until dawn and walks off battered or maimed into a rising sun.

I think they did it to mess with people abusing brightness. But you can turn it on/off with one button so this is foolish.

Removing the fog was a terrible choice as it helps create some of the uncertainty on which the killer requires to have a fair game.

But the sun is high in the sky though..
