Blame the devs and the whiny entitled survivor mains that refuse to get good. The devs keep most killers weak because average players are terrible at survivor. We are actually lucky we even have 3 killers currently, but soon to be 2, that are even decent against competent survivors. It seems like that is changing though. With the massive nerf they are giving Spirit, they might even gut Blight and Nurse at some point.
I honestly don't face many Nurses or Blights. Lately its been 4 Spirits almost back to back and occasionally Bubba. Last one was against Legion and the time before that was Clown. Teammates kept going down in piles against him. With that many Spirits I started running my Spirit build because I started to see a pattern of facing her lol.
Then the perk would be pointless. Besides the Hex meta will be going out the window if they keep boon totems the way they were in the PTB which considering BHVR is quite likely. You can hear hex totems if you're close enough to them, it has burning sound. Killer meta perks might be annoying but its only because for a lot of killers its the only way they have enough time to compete with competant survivors. Meta perk builds wont change for awhile until some actual balance arrives in DBD
I cant say that I've ever had any issues with R.U.T builds unless my team doesn't do gens, and since I run SC 90% of the time. Its not like there aren't enough counters to it either. Killers have to maintain a huge level of pressure across all 4 survivors to be able to get good value out of R.U.T, so if teams are struggling vs that then the team isn't playing efficiently or the killer is playing at 110% effort and deserves the win imo. Forcing a killer to lose a perk activation while another is active just seems excessive.
lmao
