So rude
Was playing wraith and two of the survivors suicide hooked so i decided whoever was left i was gonna let them escape. killed a Dwight so there was one survivor. i found the hatch, was gonna try knock em down to bring them to it, but decided to close it to open the gates for them instead. i went to the gate and they just stood there teabagging and pointing at me as if they sneakily made it past me. they stayed for almost the entire end game duration while i stood there watching them and then they finally left. they were on console as well so i couldnt even tell them what i was doing after the match. never again

and because i know therell be "uhnGHhH so butthurt just git gud" type of comments, im not offended or pissed off in the slightest, i just found it kind of funny how they were so cocky when i did the work for them lmao

Don't ever be kind to a survivor that hasn't sabotaged their team in the name of the Entity. Hook them all :ftkyeti:

I lol'd more than I should at this statement.

But seriously, I've recently had a rash of incidents on survivor and killer that have made me realize that the game just gets boring when I intentionally do "nice" things. Since this is my attitude now, I fully expect no mercy from either side.

For the record, no mercy doesn't mean being a ♥♥♥♥. If I win I don't act like a douchebag in the exit gate, and if I lose I can accept that the other person/people got the better of me. It's all about fun. I just have less fun when my horror game gets all "polite" on me.

EDIT:
Since I didn't say it yet: Yeah, what a jerk. Screw that person. I dunno why so many people need to be keyboard warriors to feel good about themselves.

I'm still having a good time being nice as a killer. The little moments where something silly and unscripted happens, like running into a breakable wall mid-chase, pointing at it, having the killer break it, and then resuming the chase through it, really make my day. Or staring at a hiding survivor until they get the hint that you see them. Yesterday I had a great game trying out Trapper, and two survivors suicided as soon as I put them in the basement, so I was feeling pretty bad about that. I found the remaining survivors... Nancy was hiding in a locker, so I picked her up and dropped her in front of the Jane and whacked the slug like 'go fix that.' Then I led them to my totems and chests, and one of them found a key, so I gathered up all of my traps and made a minefield around the hatch they had to disarm before they could escape. Those kinds of games are my favorite - the ones where I start out playing hard, but then ease up and do something nice at the end.

Being nice as a survivor has zero returns, though. I try and give struggling killers a down and then I just get camped.

To the OP... I wholly feel you. It really sucks to do something nice and then get mocked for it. I've found I have to be really obvious about things you do to avoid that. If you slug someone on death hook instead of taking them out of the game, they'll just think you were chasing someone else - if you want them to acknowledge it, you have to pick them up and drop them until they get up, or pick them up and take them to the exit gates/a totem, or proceed to do the same thing to everybody in sequence before they get the hint. Which can be a real waste of your time, but it at least gets the message across.

this has been happening for a while, survivors think they outplayed the killer but it is simply that the killer let them do it. It is really hard to tell if someone is dumb or they let you do it.

I wouldn't take it to heart, I say that about a lot of things not just from a gaming stand point. My guy wants to t-bag and emote in a harassing way at the end of the match, who cares; let em. From their pov they're probably thinking "All my teammates are trash, the killer just closed the hatch. wow what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, yall are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I hate you." His toxicity kinda makes sense from his pov.
