yes, in tournament matches it's normally a rule that there be no duplicate perks or character choices.
I cant help but laugh when people say their on comp teams for this game and think this game is competitive and worthy of esports.
There's absolutly nothing skillful about playing in a 4 man swf where you each know everyone's perks and what each is doing, not to mention what the killer is doing.
Basically the the same thing as "professional baby sitter"
I agree, this game isn't a great competitive game, unless you apply a bunch of arbitrary rules to a tournament.
But as I said, I doubt you faced comp players, they wouldn't need meta perks to destroy you.
