when does the DC penalty reset?

I haven't DC'd in at least 1 day and first DC is an 1 hour ban

Not a clue I think the more you do it the longer the reset it, If you managed to get it to a one hour ban I imagine that the reset is going to be like 3-5 days.

I could be wrong but if I get a DC for 5 minutes, it usually resets by the time I get the next DC which is not normally the same day. Not sure if you purposely dc over and over multiple times in the space of a day.

always thought it went back 1 stage every 24hours, but it seems they have their secret "special" parameters.

for example i dc'd like 2 hours ago, then like 20 minutes ago and i still got a 5 min penalty. after that (let's say 10 minutes ago). i got a 15 min penalty.

so no one really knows, especially not here

Tier 1 and tier 2 are both 5 minute penalties, while tier 3 is 15 minutes.


You go down a penalty tier after 24 hours from when your last penalty expired whether you're playing or not—or, at least that seems to be the case. That's just speculation from my experience with the system.

can confirm the DC pen tier down is NOT working at all
it use to reset everyday at 11am-12pm EST.
It is NO longer doing this.

due to crappy servers and steam going down.
I am now at the 15min lvl even tho my DC was 2 days ago.
and that was at the first 5 Min time out....

You know, I find it weird that when dc penalties are turned off, all the survivors go on about how often they dc, and advocate others to do the same. Then when penalties are turned back on, it's all crashing internet and bugs...

I must just be imagining things
