Going through a vault is always dangerous for me and rarely I can move sideways fast enough for them to miss. It’s like 50/50 will they aim left or right.
always worked so far, not even kidding
If you want to dodge his attack you have 3.
1) as you arrive to your loop spot like a pallet spot , you can predrop but it would leave you low time to react
2) you can keep running forward and so the killer either stop to use tentacle and so give you distance and an easy way to dodge
3) you can stop / slow down at pallet spot . That way you will force the killer to either use his tentacle and so you have the initiative to dodge or M1 and you have the initiative also.
For vault spot you will have two cases :
1) the killer will try to block the window and try to aim at you with tentacle , in this case you are like if you are VS huntress in close range
2) the killer will charge when you go to the window and then you will need to either accept the hit to have a speed boost or fake the vault
In most cases he relies on the vault/drop animation to get his hits, keep that in mind and you'll do well.
I feel like the hitbox of the tentacle is sometimes very inconsistent. From my POV I've been hit with it through walls, and sometimes when it was dead on me it still missed. I actually prefer dodging pyramid head cuz at least you get a clear line indicating where you cant stand, plus I think it has a slightly longer time to strike
Nemesis gets guaranteed hits with the tentacle when people run through narrow spaces or along the wall of a building or orbstacle.
Once he hits level two he has much longer range and the hits get easier. The only problem is that you have to get 3 hits to down someone.
I have had the tentacle dead on people and it breaks the pallet or just hits air. The tentacle is harder to hit with at rank 1 but after that it gets very easy to hit with.
When Nemesis gets to rank 2 you pretty much cant you pallets against him anymore and vaults are very questionable.
