Depleted keys no longer open the hatch?

A fella escaped, the hatch spawned on the shack, we tried to use it but the open hatch option never appeared. Is this how it´s supposed to work? It was depleted by Franklin´s Demise.

depleted keys have not opened hatch since the All-Kill Trickster update i believe

That's deliberate. They patched it so that keys need to have charges left in order to open the hatch.

exactly, so if they are depleted you can't use it.

Correct. Pretty fair tbh. With items, you can't heal without charges on medkits, can't sabotage without charges on toolkits, cant scan without map charges, why should keys do the single most important thing of open the hatch instantly if they don't have charges?

yeah I totally agree. I feel that if you use the key , then you shouldn't be able to use it when its depleted. It's fair in my eyes. I hate seeing when people complain about it haha
