What is the actual meaning of "pleasure/pain" references in Pinhead add-ons/Perks?
I'm legitimately asking as someone who never watched the Hellraiser movies. I've read that they/he/I-legit-dunno likes Bondage and all of that good stuff, but I can't believe that's just it. I'm guessing he likes the thrill of making the others suffer and that he gains satisfaction of it? I'm seriously confused. Maybe I'm just a dense idiot and it really is that all it is.

It's all a metaphor for playing DBD

It's simpler to just watch the movies but basically yeah, him and his buddies are from another dimension ruled by a God that is all about pain and pleasure intermingled as one. A heaven and hell combined. They like to bring people to their dimension as play things

The Cenobites are all about the pleasure/beauty of pain. Whoever opens the puzzle box is visited by them, and they provide that person with sensations that while pleasureable, are so overwhelming they can destroy their soul. The book does a fantastic job of describing this, the movies not so much. They are referred as Angels to some, Demons to others depending on what you were expecting when you opened the box.

If you like horror, I'd recommend at least watching the first 2 movies. They are dated in effects, but the atmosphere and stories are superb. The 3rd one is okay, but it's a bit too generic and feels like an action movie in parts. The 4th one delves deeper into the origins of the puzzle box, and it's my favorite out of the series. 5, 6, and 7 are all okay. Nothing special, but they keep to the Hellraiser lore quite nicely. 8 was pretty bad. 9 and on don't have Doug Bradley in them, and are really awful.
