Randomly losing connection?

I've recently been having times where the server would randomly disconnect me from the game and just say "Lost Connection to Host" or "Lost Connection to Server" and it'll ban me for 5 mins for something i had no control over. I don't care about losing pips because it honestly doesn't matter to me, but i hate how it's punishing me for it disconnecting me for no reason.

Is anyone else experiencing these problems as of late or is it just me? I would really like to at least try to enjoy this game without it feeling the need to kick me whenever it feels like it.

yeah I was playing and the survivors where literally at the gate on the way out and it disconnected me, made it look like I rage quit :(

My best friend and I just got randomly disconnected from a match against an Insidious Trickster. We were on Haddonfield, my friend got a "disconnected from host" message in the game and kicked. His internet did not drop or anything. I got it too right as I was going for an unhook on a Jill. "Disconnected from host." I got all my bloodpoints from the match though but have a d/c penalty.

just happened to me, matchmaking now locked for me hooray. 10/10 game

My game just disconnected as well, and I got the 5 min kick timer. It showed me as offline in steam for a brief moment and then put me back online. I'm guessing steam went down maybe?

I literally just got the "you need a network connection to play" error and received a disconnect penalty dispite being online.

10/10 behavior

Just happened to me, right after it crashed I resumed the video I was watching while waiting, loaded fine, internet was fully working, no DC from Steam, Discord was running fine

For me I shift+tabbed and checked my friends list and it said I was offline. And like 5 seconds later It reconnected.

it just happened to me right now, i was midgame when all of a sudden i got kicked out of the match and apparently i lost the connection to the dbd servers. I´ve been trying to reconnect to the servers but it doesnt let me

I would try restarting your game, sometimes that happens to me too.

Need a connection to play the game, but not to use the boards here it seems. Time to get a snack and be mad about needing to redo my tome challenge.
