Did... Did you just nerf discordance?
There were some patch notes flying around, saying that discordance also got a nerf. Why exactly did you think that's a good idea?

Because it didn't need a nerf? If anything, they should have ONLY switched the level numbers around, so people have a reason to level the perk up.

Sort of? 96 meter does cover a pretty big area at level 3...although not the whole map, probably more like 1/3rd of it.

I'm suspecting it's because Forever Freddy could detect generators from afar and teleport to them when there were multiple survivors working on it, but that doesn't stop them from just using Surveillance instead.

...oh no.

It would have been easier to... you know... decrease Freddy's gen teleporting range. Instead, they just nerf all killers who could use discordance because Freddy was too strong while using said perk.

96 is not 1/3. Empathy is 128m and that's the whole map, so logically 96 can't be 1/3.

They made it consistent in regards of the Aura reading. T1 used to be better than T3, not anymore now though. I'd assume that's why the change was made and 96m is a huge range. I think it won't really be that much of an issue, cause most of the time gens are that close to you already.

The problem is that the sound notification only triggers the first time now, and that the range is awful at lower ranks. That, and the fact that the lingering aura reading for gens doesn't get better with perk rank.

The reason it's worse on lower ranks is so you upgrade the perk - that's the intention of tiers. Same with how Balanced Landing was changed so people have the motivation to level up the tier.

About the noise - I guess that's personal preference for people, as the alarm noises in DBD tend to annoy me, I rely more on the visual part as a example. E.g. for me this is not a bad change, but it might be a bad change for others.

it s not a nerf. (6 m is pretty much gonna work at all times unless u are fkn walking in the corner of the map as killer. They just changed it because of all the otzdarva little sheeps that used discordance 1 like their daddy told em to. Devs wanted to make discordance 3 unarguably better than tier 1. Not a big deal.

Also discordance is a garbage perk anyways that encourages survivors to work on gens solo which is the most optimal strategy.

This feels like old empathy cry, 96 meters cover almost all maps except for 2 if you are on the exact opposite corner.

Apparently you're a sheep if you notice that level 1 of the old discordance was objectively stronger than the higher levels...

100%. Discordance didn't need the nerf because its only situational use was to tell you when multiple people group up on a gen so you can rush over there and contest that before it goes flying - nice perk, can come in handy on quite a few killers but not exactly "OP" if the survivors split up at the start. The perk existed for 2 years without issues (unlike Ruin, it was neither overused nor did survivor mains cry about it a lot), why change it now? What's the point? Now the Discordance info isn't reliable anymore, there's no reason to bring it instead of Tinkerer or Surveillance. And no, 96 m is not "practically" the entire map, I don't get where people are taking that info from. If 96 m were"practically" the entire map (it isn't), why change it from what is was before where it covered the entire map guaranteed?

My biggest problem is that I feel like it just adds extra junk code to make a change most aren't going to notice.

Fact 1: 96 metres effectively covers most of the Map, as barely any Map has a distance larger than 100 metres from it's two furthest apart points.

Fact 2: It activates on 2 or more Survivors repairing a Gen, same as before.

Fact 3: It keeps the Aura highlighted for as long as the 2+ Survivors stay on the Generator, not just 8-12 seconds. That's actually a buff over the old version.

Fact 3 baffles me actually. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this mean gen is highlighted as long as it's working PLUS 8 SECONDS

This right here is a SEVERE nerf, because the information you get is not reliable anymore. This is sole reason people ran Dis 1. Because the highlight time when noone is on gen is minimal

Also this means people can now BAIT Discordance. Two people tap gen together and immediately run away. And if within 8 seconds killer decides to check this gen, well... He's in for a nasty surprise

This is unfair. Discordance was a god perk for one thing and one thing only. Preventing survivors from piling on gens. Now it's not even good on that

Goodnight, Sweet Prince...
