Did you go to
~\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\EasyAntiCheat
Delete the folder "Certificates"
Run EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe as Admin
Choose Dead By Daylight and click "Repair Service" and when it's done click "Finish" and then see if you can play?
If I put a ring on your finger, would you say yes?
Thank you it worked.
Ok try deleting all EAC folders in these locations:
~Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat
~Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\EasyAntiCheat
Delete DBD's easy anticheat launcher file named DeadByDaylight.exe that is located here:
~Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\
Then empty recycle bin, reboot for good luck and then verify Dead By Daylight game file integrity by going to steam library and right click on Dead By Daylight choose properties then local files and then "Verify game file integrity" and let it do its thing it should grab EAC and then try to play again and see if that works.
If not no worries, dbd + steam can be an adventure to get working but we'll figure it out. :)
Wait you're starting it via steam library right? Not a shortcut, right? Game and/or EAC doesn't always like shortcuts, so steam library click on DBD then "Play" is the best way.
i have no idea, but thats what their official website recommends. . . . It's insane
