Flickering auras new bug/hacker?

So either yet another new bug or a hacker but I kept seeing flashes of every object in the match (generators, totems, hooks) as survivor.

its your teammate using a map that has a certain addon that allows you to see it aswell

You sure its meant to cover the entire map? So what, 75m detection if you are bang in the center on the smallest map? I could see everywhere, hooks in every corner.

As long as the map holder has Crystal Bead equipped and charges the map, other survivors can see the items around the map, no matter where they are. The only condition is that the map owner has actually "registered" those objects, e.g. got close enough for them to be tracked.

If you have detective’s hunch, you practically see everything, added to the map as well and with crystal beads it shows to all players.

Not so sure about the hook part, I know map can gather them but only way I can imagine seeing them is from sabo perk.

That's the bit I'm getting at, it was showing hooks too so unless there's an addon that increases detection range of the map function by like 200%... it seemed fishy to me, because I don't think 56m is enough to cut it seeing every corner no matter if you are in the dead center of the map or not

Rainbow maps or maps that detect killer belongings will reveal hooks.

You literally could have looked into this yourself and found out instead of calling literal game mechanics "Hacks".

Not everything you refuse to understand is hacking.

My mistake, it says on the wiki the base tracking range of the map is 80m not 8m... wait...

I think you mean Open Handed.
Ace in the hole is the one that makes it so items you get from chests have addons.

But even so I don't think it affects open handed since it's detection isn't affected by aura reading? Although can't exactly confirm/deny it.

They were probably running Rainbow Map, Crystal Bead, and Odd Stamp.

You see the aura at infinite range... You need to walk within 8M with the map to add the entity to your map, but there are perks that automatically add generators and even totems to the map both at the start and every time you finish a generator or totem. Plus Open Handed increases it to 16M, which is a lot. It really isn't hard to take 60 seconds to run a circle around the edge of the map and get everything tracked. Actually you get a ♥♥♥♥ ton of BP for doing so, as well as being able to show your brainlet teammates where all the totems are.

You could have literally just read the item yourself but instead you make a post and go on the wiki that has incorrect information.
