Audio fading out slowly when no new audio is occuring.

This issue has just started for me. The audio slowly fades out when no new significant audio occurs. For instance, ill be walking around as the killer, and the audio will fade away, until I get a failed skill check notification and the sound will all turn back on again at once, then slowly fade again.

I have checked other games and it seems to only be Dead by daylight, and has only just started tonight.

Has anyone else encountered this issue and/or knows a solution?

Edit - Solution: I am using the Arctis Pro Wireless Steelseries Headset. The issue was that I had my audio set to 'Chat' instead of 'Game', and so the audio was fading during quiet scenes. Seems the issue was occurring in other areas, but was just harder to recreate. I hope this might help someone in the future.
