Wanna know something about the official DBD forum?
I'm talking about this forum right here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/
Long story short, if the thread isn't really nice, contains explicit critisim and wording allows classify your thread as a "suggestion", mods will transfer it to the FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS segment. That segment literally turns you thread into a dead thread because it doesn't allow it to pop often on RECENT DISCUSSIONS. Deleting your criticism wouldn't be nice, so instead they move to a place noone will really see it.
Don't believe me? I created an account there, spent some time writing stuff. This thought crossed my mind all of a sudden and I created a thread called "Let's be real, mods kill your thread when they transfer them to "Feedback and suggestion" segment". The thread was classified as a General Discussion, no critisim, no suggestions, nothing. In the thread I wrote: "C'mon, we know what's going on here". I didn't even criticize them, I just pointed out how things work. The mod (Mandy) hopped right away, closed the thread and said that that suggestions belong to suggestions and they classify topics properly. I was quite annoyed because my thread was closed but guess what I've noticed. My closed thread was moved to the FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS segment. I got the screenshot of that and created another discussion about it, having a solid proof of my words. Guess what? No warnings, banned.
I don't know, maybe I broke all the rules with creating these 2 threads, you tell me!

In other words, they use FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS as a trashbin for you thread, fun, right?

I don't mean to be rude, but what did you want to acomplish when you created a second thread? If you knew that you would not win that battle, why did you do it?

Mods have the right to ban you if they just want to. And since you can't appeal your ban, mods won't face ANY consequences for it.

Just wanted to know what will happen. Usually mods give warnings before banning but they straight up deleted my account. It's not JUST banned, my thread and comments are gone. Did I get email talking about the ban reason? Nope.

The devs also told me to stop reporting people who are insulting other users. Specifically, I was reporting people who were calling killers or survivors as a group stupid, since there are an absolutely wild amount of them. After a while, I got a message that I had been warned for "abusing the report function", even though insults are specifically listed as something to report in the forum rules.

So yeah, seems the devs just want that site to be a garbage heap. Probably so they can use it to justify ignoring the community at large.

I'd recommend screenshoting this thread because Mandy rarely looks through the Steam forum. This is complete BS. Some game company decided to silence us? What are we, millennials???

You know Mandy frequents this forum too, right?

What I especially loved was when I responded to the mod to point out that insults were listed as something to specifically report, they responded just to say that any further responses would be treated as arguing with the mods, and be "treated appropriately".
Oh, long story short, I remember creating a thread where I discussed the lack of pre-game report system. Recent events really made some people write racist stuff in the chat. But the reports may only be looked at if you make an in-game report. Mandy closed the threat and said that the help center may look into chat logs even without the in-game reports when it comes to the pre-game chat. I had to wait a full month for my reports to be looked at, that's insane!! I had a report with an in-game report (suicided during the match) and a report without it. I got the same copy-paste message for my first report, where they claimed to look into my case, and the same copy-paste message for my second report, where they said that they can't do anything without the in-game report. Mandy straight up lied and closed the thread just because it covered an uncomfortable topic.

Luzi will probably look at this though and promptly delete it.

After all, they are the moral arbiters of video game discussions and forum Roombas.
Did SpaceCoconut or other media people cover this topic? I think we need to ask them to do it again.

Not sure why you're making an issue of this. That's pretty normal for many sites.

Nope, this is COMMON but this is NOT NORMAL.

Anyways, look up the number of thread from the FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS and compare it to the number of thread from the other segments. Interesting, isn't it? This community must be SO creative!
