How exactly rainbow map work?

Im mean specifically this: "Objects with Auras which you have already encountered are revealed to you for as long as the map has charges left."
Does that mean that if i use map and encountered a gen i will see this gen from other side of the map passively eg. like killer see gens?

When you're using the map yes, but the Rainbow map also tracks hooks, hatch, chests. basically everything.

So we clear about this: im taking this rainbow map and when im use rmb i can see any object within 8m, then i need to go to gen and start working with it, then when im done halfway and go on the other side of the map i will still see this gen without need to rmb map again? And this map should let me see 3 objects at the start which dont work or i dont know what im looking at.

It’s good to find totems and the hatch. Best used with the marker add-on. Otherwise...ehhhh
