it's a rare killer-offering that lets you instant-kill survivors when they are down.
the yellow one lets you kill the last survivor.
the green one lets you kill any survivor (only 1) that has been hooked at least once.
and the pink one lets you kill all survivors that have been hooked at least once.
if you have downed a survivor, walk up to him and hold mouse1, it will start an animation lasting about 5-10seconds, after that the survivor is dead.
All in all, it means to remember that one has to die (eventually).
Fits perfectly well with what the Offering is about.
It's not French. "Mort" is the French word for death
In this game, the killer can kill you by his own hands if he uses a Memento Mori as an offering, so you have to remember that you will die when he gets you.
It's one of the 3 motives of Baroque literature, along with Vanitas (nothing is forever) and Carpe Diem (Use the day).
Phew I still remember that from literature class at school. At least it's something lol
Thanks, i thought it was French. But then again, it's still a latin-derived language, isn't it? (Linguistics is NOT my area of expertise)
Memento mori is a Latin phrase meaning 'remember you must die'.
See my above post.
