Did they patrol the hook because they saw a teammate? Blocked.
Didn't let you get free saves? Blocked.
Plays Nurse? Blocked.
Its nice for avoid big ping ppl :)
It also has a feature that allows you to add players to a list and tag them as either "blocked" or "loved", so you can avoid certain people who play in a way you don't like.
If a person is blocked you will still match up with them. This has no effect on matchmaking. But if they are marked as blocked you can dodge the lobby.
This Mod and its add-ons are currently being reviewed by the Devs because it seems to be going in a way that hurts the game overall. But for now, its use is allowed.
I personally do not use this mod and never will. People should not be trying to control who they play against in a public matchmaking system.
MLGA is a 3rd party tool that was initially made to allow you to check the ping to the killer or survivors you are connected to. At some point a "flagging" functionality was added to it, which allows you to flag a killer (or survivors) as "blocked" or "loved". It keeps track of the IP the player was using at the time.
Next time you encounter that player, it will display "blocked" or "loved" if you have previously flagged them as such.
Most recently the "Kindred" functionality was added, which is a service you can opt into. This service use a database that links a specific user ID (not steam ID) to an IP. The people who opt into this service help keep the database updated with correct info while gaining access to the info at the same time. This means that your list of flagged players will be more accurate, because changing an IP or using a VPN will just get that IP connected to the user ID and then the online record will be updated. Since everyone contributed to this online record the accuracy will be much higher than if you were only using a local record.
That's just about it. Obviously people have various opinions about the tool, which has no place in this thread.
The devs have previously whitelisted the tool with the blocking functionality, but they have not yet made an official response regarding the new "Kindred" functionality. Once that happens we all know whether or not the "Kindred" functionality is allowed to be in the tool or not. Until then you shouldn't let others try to convince you to adopt their biased opinion of the tool. Make your own opinion.
It stands for "Make Lobbies Great Again"
I only use it for the ping, but I don't see anything wrong blocking killers and dodging them until they remove the possibility for killers to see which survivors are in your lobby.
If they can snipe you only fair thing is that survivors can snipe the killer aswell.
Ah you see. Survivors were able to snipe the killer. But they removed it because it caused survivors to block and dodge any killers they didn't like. Hence the reason MLGA is a problem.
Why they let you just click on a survivor in lobby and go to their profile I have no clue. But you can't use the same trick that survivors could use to see the killer anymore either so all they have to do is remove the steam profile link.
And dodging is down alot on the killer side. It used to be a lot worse.
