Can you get a skeleton key from a chest?

You can get a purple key from chests. Never gotten a skeleton though. Got em on the bloodweb.

Yes, you can in all forms. It's extremely rare to find the "ultra rare" version though like it's name suggests.

Just had a group down to 2 survivors and 3 gens unlock the hatch but nobody came in with key on end game screen. Was very confused.

The hatch requires one of two things to spawn: 1) 1 Survivor remains with 3 or fewer gens left 2) 2 gens remain regardless of how many Survivors remain. It does not unlock unless someone has a key or only 1 Survivor remains.

Okay, well there were 3 gens and two survivors. Nobody came in with a key so i'm guessing the only option is that they found it in a chest.

But hatch can be opened with a purple key which u can get from the chest pretty regularly.

I've not gotten an ultra rare - but I have gotten the purple key a few times.

I can never find that dumb hatch tho.

he didnt question the hatch spawning, he questioned the survivors opening it, without coming into the match with a key, hence why he asked if you can find the key in chests.. You answered something that was not asked..

Anyways, like others already stated, you can find any version of the key in chests, but obviously its rare to get the rare version :3
