Sounds perfectly balanced.
Edit: because it wasn't obvious enough - SARCASM OFF
That's just how Alien is - stupidly overpowered and unfit for this game. And if they try to press it into the DBD-killer-mold, they won't do it any justice. So I am completely against an Alien killer.
In the movie he was impossible to kill. I wonder how they can transfer the xenomorph from movies to dbd... plus Ripley character should be added alongside him.
Ripley's an engineer so she could be good maybe repairing gens or something like that.
Just coz they climbs walls in alien isolation doesnt mean they will climb walls in dbd. I wouldnt be against climbing as long as it is restricted and not a free for all check to climb every object. For crying out loud, nurse doesnt climb but can pretty much blink through everything. The climbing can be offset by maybe stun time when they jump off the wall/ceiling/boxes that gives the surv a chance for breathing room, or that if they go for an attack off a platform they are clinging to, the attack is a straight dash similar to demogorgon that is just a straight line with fatigue and so survs can mindgame as to whether they will walk straight or double back to avoid the dash, and if they guessed right the fatigue effect allows them for some breathing room distance. Have you seen the movies? they are very stealthy creatures and also possess other skillsets the devs could utilise, and the main focus could be the other skillset with some limited climbing mechanic tacked on.
following these reasoning, freddy should be able to make pallet fly or do whatever he wants with sleeping survivors, changing map at will. Demogorgon should be able to grab survivor from whatever wall without waiting for his power to "walk through portal" to recharge.
you sound perfectly stupid, don't you think?
It won't do Alien any justice!
I'm not fully satisfied with how Freddy turned out either and neither were 90% of the community pre-rework, but fine - we got him. He fits into the DBD-scheme. He's not an accurate representation but fine.
To make Alien, that badass, unbeatable monster from the movies a loopable, shrieking, cute monster like the Demogorgon would be NOT fine however. For you maybe, if that's your opinion. But I personally would hate it for named reasons.
