I honestly don't know what you use but I've been using antivirus softwares since 1997 and there are only two that have never let me down...& one of them Is Bitdefender...the other is Norton.
Avast, Kaspersky, McAfee whatever you use failed in the days of memory viruses, rootkits and malicious scripts in the early 2000s. I have not bothered with any other antivirus since then.

YES it is, it's perfectly harmless, you will get more harm if you placed something like idk a pirated movie on there you copied from a disc you bought
it's safe just set a path so it won't block it
The fix I posted above included un-installing and re-installing EAC...because guess what that was not the most current version. So all your other antivirus softwares should pay more attention
