Tinkerer Rework
New rework for tinkerer not good. I feel like its really only going to shine on certain killers. Tinkerer in its normal form can be applicable to ALL killers. Now it will only be really useful to high mobility killers. Nowdays most survivors look behind them so you losing your terror radius for 8 seconds doesnt do a whole lot. most killers move too slow to get over to a gen (depending on the distance). Not to mention there are alot of gens that are in open fields so you could see the killer approach anyways.

Billy (the only one that could really utilize this perk due to his ability)

Nurse (sorta, she can teleport but unless the killer teleports right into the gen area, the survivors can still hear you sigh if you teleport close to the area but not fully into the gen area.)

Myers (Sorta, if you are T3 and you get that tinkerer proc than it can be pretty scary. But you would have to do some serious traveling to get to that gen. Killer would have to hope that the gen is within a relative distance)

Freddy (sorta, it would be effective in both worlds(nightmare and normal). but his walk speed is still an issue. Freddy already has a decent suprise element because he is perminantly invisable so this would actually maybe help his surprise factor even more. But his sequence for ending chase sequences is still a problem. It takes too long to pull someone in the dream world and down them. if he gets a tinkerer proc in the nightmare world it could help him down someone but it by no means will help his meta game.

Trapper, Clown, Pig, Hag, Leatherface, (no, normal walk speed isnt enough to carry them to a gen in 8 seconds of course it depends on the distance of the gen but most survivors are not dumb enough to do gens all in one small area. It happens sometimes but its definitely not meta.)

Wraith (The perk works against the killer!, you can already drop your terror radius with cloak so if you uncloak near the gen with tinkerer active they are gonna hear your bell(even if you reduce the noise ive already tested it). The point of having the new tinkerer is to suprise the surivors as they are almost about to complete the gen. But this killer lets the entire vicinity know when he is near so it really defeats the purpose. His movement buffs are only when hes cloaked and then decloaks so the bell sound while decloaking actually works against him with this perk on.

Huntress (Havent tested the huntress but if her lullaby still plays when tinkerer procs than the perk is useless on her because you are gonna hear the song anyways.)

My point is:

Tinker used to be a valid perk for a variety of different builds. Now its being turned into a very situational perk that is by no means a meta build. The original tinkerer had its uses. Those uses varied depending on your killer and what you were using it for. Now its no where near meta and I feel like will be a very situational perk. You are hoping that you get procs for tinkerer in very specific situations. Situations that I feel are bad because a 90% across the map and there is very little you can do about it. even if you are in a chase you are going to have to break line of sight with the survivor your chasing and be in close range for them to feel any sort of fear since the survivor is going to be looking back anyways.

No. Billy is getting buffed.

Instant hatchet build was reduced a lil bit.

Could have dropped those buffs without tinkerer nerf they’re just too lazy to make tinkerer work on new killers that’s y it’s changing

Yeah. The dev's don't understand their game.

Of all the changes the only one I really like is the calm spirit change.

I see to many negatives with the others.

Remember the stream where cote showcased hangman's trick? Then he got upset when people called it crap because it wasn't released yet? They should have taken notes from that.

A development team that can't play their own game at a high level shouldn't be touting balance.

It's a recipe for disaster.
They buffed it to 12 seconds in the PTB I believe.

But even then, I think most people forget that it's not only for getting the person on the gen, but it can be used on anyone as long as someone procs it (like in chases or just different people in general). Probably still garbage, but it's not as hopeless as you made it out to be I don't think.
Becoming a tier 1 myers anywhere on map at full speed sounds pretty cool. Silent chainsaw Billy might become a thing.

I think its good because now tinkerer is going to be applied to all killers without you having to use the perk, so basically everybody will have a 10% increased speed on their ''weapons''

Also tinkerer reworked aint gonna be the most used perk but the important part is that 10% everybody is winning
