Pyramid Head's Power Is Almost Worthless
[For starters I play on NA servers and I'm a rank 1 killer and survivor for every rank reset]

Ever since the Silent Hill chapter came out I've only been playing Pyramid Head. In the beginning few days I've been able to get some amazing through-the-wall shots with the punishment attack and have also been dodged by some decent survivors, I've used the cages often and have either made the survivor's struggle to keep everyone off hooks/cages or I've doomed myself since they're across the map next to their team. But now after only about 3 days of him being out survivors have figured out a good and very annoying counter to his abilities, 'don't deal with it'.

Survivors (at least the one's I've been fighting) have developed a 'hold w' strategy where if Pyramid Head actually tries to use punishment (especially through walls) then all the survivor has to do is leave the loop where the punishment doesn't reach them and they can run past about 3 loops before the killer can even attempt to hit them again. Recently I've been in games with swf and solo 'hold w' survivors where not only am I getting slightly gen rushed for some of them but the survivors NEVER stayed at a loop the entire game, they all just kept running to the other side of the map and never stopped. After noticing this happening for almost 10 games in a row and even de-pipping on 2 of them, I decided screw it and stopped using my ability. I only used the punishment attack for when they farmed each other off the hook and I could get a double hit, or I used it in other scenarios where I basically had a 100% chance of hitting them. I never used the cages and kept people tormented until death hook so I can just final judgement them.

This strategy was extremely infuriating for me because it was WORKING. Running with the survivors through the loop and not even attempting to use my ability was actually getting me more kills and easier games for not even using my ability anymore and just using final judgement and punishment when it's 100% guaranteed. I absolutely hate this because it's making it very stale for me because now I need to not use my ability, which was the main reason I was wanting to play Pyramid Head the most. I have 0 ideas on how they could fix it what so ever but something needs to change either in how survivors play or something mechanically needs to change.

I find ph to be a lot like nurses blinks, once you get used to seeing the angles it does get a lot easier

It's not that I'm missing a lot and can't figure out how far the range is or where to use it, I've been hitting people a ♥♥♥♥ ton with that, it's that survivors recently aren't LETTING me use it. They just keep running away instead of trying to loop me and let me even attempt to use punishment.

In other words, you cant adapt as the survivors are adapting to you.

Try harder.

Also, youre the exact kind of killer that makes us all look bad with ridiculous, illegitimate complaining. "Rank1 forever, something new comes along and I need to cry now"

I agree with you : when survivors keep running to the next loop and prefer to take a hit rather than getting tormented, it's gonna be a hard game

Agreed.
Same happened to me when i was playing huntress. Survivor would never drop pallet in front of me and deny me my hatchet throw.

The strategy I was talking about was me not using punishment what so ever and it was working and it was dumb to me that not using my ability was working better than using it at loops for most of the time. So me "crying" was me being upset that not using my ability works WAY more than trying to actually use it, because then it just becomes boring to be a new m1 killer.

Ph is like a baby nurse or a better trapper so i dont think so

I bring the sword down, leave a trail through the pallet and keep chasing them. A lot of the times you are right on top of them when you can swing again, in my experience, its that or eventually they get tormented. The best time to use Rites of Punishment is when you know they are about to vault a window or drop a pallet. It doesn't work as well for anti-loop as most people say. I like leaving the trails for that more.

get good

To be fair that just means that survivors are playing off of what other pyramid heads do and are for the time being adapting. once more time passes and it starts becoming a mind game it will get more use odds are.

"Survivors aren't looping me"
Then just hold w
It's like you're complaining about the existence of rock when all you want to play is scissors. If you never pick paper, why would they switch off of rock?
