The new Silent Hill map is terrible for survivors
Honestly my main problem as a survivor is it's way too difficult to find where the gens are, there's no indication of it as far as I'm aware of. Then with the long hallways it can easily doom survivors with killers that have some kind of range or insta-down since there's absolutely no where to go. The devs seriously need to rebalance this map to be equal for both sides because as of right now it is extremely killer sided.

I have to admit it's pretty fun running down the hallways as Oni and smashing people down.

I like the map aesthetically but I wouldn’t want to play that map as a survivor. I’ve escaped only once in that map so far out of couple games. That map is too unsafe right now. However, the gens are very spread out making killers difficult to patrol and put pressures. As for the gen locations, I think survivors will get used to it.

The map is chock full of hiding places. Might help you to explore around in a custom game with somebody else, looking for them. There will always be a gen upstairs in the science and music rooms, and there is usually a gen in the courtyard downstairs. There's sometimes another one upstairs in the library.

If you hang out downstairs, there's a bathroom ghost that makes a lot of crying noises that can cover your sound if you're injured and distract the killer.

Honestly, the map is so busy that there have been a bunch of killer mains complaining about how distracting it is.

People will get used to it, eventually.

Really? I felt it was more survivor friendly. Maybe it depends on the killer you’re playing against. Why do you feel it’s killer sided?

Well against ranged killers like Oni, Huntress, Gunslinger, Demogordon, Hill Billy and Nurse, they can easily dominate the match due to the long hallways with little to no pallets in them. I had a match against the Gunslinger and we all got destroyed. He would pop around the corner and shoot us before we can even react due to not hearing his terror radius. Also had a similar problem with the Huntress. There's no enough room to go anywhere in the hallways, especially with no pallets.

Finding gens will come in time as you get used to the map and how the gens spawn.

Killers with long range insta-down, have you ever heard of something called side-stepping?

It's not killer-sided. I actually love the map as a survivor main it's fun to play. The only problem I have with the map are:

* Totem Spawn placements. Holy cow they're hard to find. This is not a criticism of the map -- hard totem spawns are a good thign. Just saying it's hard for me to find them but that'll get better with time.

* Lots of deadends -- easy to run yourself into a corner. But that's all well and good. All the deadends usually have a palette that you can use to loop and maybe escape from the bad situation.

Those two are the most killer-sided features of the map. Other than that it is mostly survivor-sided in my opinion, especially if you're a stealth survivor.

The big issue with the map I think is that it's not looper friendly. I didn't see any safe pallets anywhere except in the courtyard (the double pallet in the corner). No jungle gyms either.

So most survivors have no idea how to survive in this map.

Stealth survivors on the other hand are having a field day.

Good, game is way to easy for survivors anyway.

I had no problem surviving as a survivor and I had no problem 4k as Doctor.

and hard for the killer

They somehow managed to make a map bad for both sides to play. It's like an even worse Haddonfield.
