Windows edition vs steam ?
Iv got game pass, so DBD is free on windows, and there is also cross play.

is there any pros or cons to either?

if not, then i can safely just get it on windows and save myself from paying the base cost of the game due to it being "free" in the game pass?

The only pros and cons would be the launchers. Windows store and any incarnation of a launcher it has is mediocre to terrible. I'm sure you are already aware of how Steam is.

Try it out with your windows version if you can to save money.

Just when you want to drop the monthly fee but keep your microtransactions

LOL at game pass.

I will never understand why some people think it's better to rent a bunch of games for $10 or whatever a month instead of buying a game for $10 and play it forever -- and that's something important in a game like DBD which you will be playing for thousands of hours.

Because most modern games are movie hybrids

Think ahead.

You can pay 10$ for the Game Pass (actually its 1€ Sale in Germany) and test a few games within a month. Therefore you don't need to buy the game(s). IMO its a good way to look around for new games. Especially now while it costs 1€.
Thats way easier instead of playing the games up to 2 hours and refund them.

because I can spend 10$ and tryout games, if I really like them I can then go buy them. Not everyone is made of money and can just buy every game that looks interesting :p

hmmm.. it is as you say..

Buy a BUNCH OF GAMES FOR $10...

or buy a SINGLE game for $10.....

i wonder which one most people would go for...how is a person opting to get a bunch of games for only $10 a " LOL " ??????

Now if i can quote you and alter it a little just rub this in your face a little bit
"I will never understand why some people think it's better to buy a single game for $10 or whatever instead of buying a bunch of games through the game pass for just $10 and play it forever"

Imagine thinking that one game only for $10 game is better > 500+ games for the same $10 price
