I had the same idea, but there are 2 majors problems.
First, you need to change your desktop resolution to 4K and then start the game, and revert it back to the normal 1440p resolution once you don't play anymore.
Second, your framerate will be worse by a lot. I have constant 120 FPS on 1440p while I had less than 70 on 4K just in the main menu. [/quote]
First: no, you don't need to do such a thing in order to set 4k. I have nvidia and a 1080p monitor, if i go in the game i can set 720p, 1080p and 4k resolution, if i set it to 4k then the graphic card switch from 1080p to 4k and from 4k to 1080p automatically.
Second: you do an upscale if your pc can handle that, otherwise there's a VERY simple solution, go back to 1080p. This game hasn't a breath taking graphic quality, so you can do that

You can go into the game and set 720p, 1080p and 4K? Seems like you have a different game, because in my game there is no option to change the resolution. And why would going back to 1080p help? The HUD has the same ugly size on 1080p and 1440p.
I wouldn't even bother responding to that lol....
People were cheating the FoV so the devs locked it. Why does this matter?
The terrain is balanced around the killer being able to hide for a moment and pretend he is going one way (survivor sees the red light only) and then fakes to go another.
In short, as killer you can force a 50/50 event over and over in short periods of time. Force three of them in 10 seconds and as survivor you have a 1/8 chance to correctly guess each time. Remember the game is balanced around you not being able to juke the killer forever.
When you increase FoV before this patch it allowed you to see over terrain that was meant to be sight blocking. This prevented there from even being a 50/50 event because you could see the killer when he was not supposed to be visible.
we didn’t get any advantages, and now we are completely suffering from the pixel menu, and less review than 1080p.
Forcing a 1080p resolution on a 1440p monitor will look blurry, the pixel density is not the same.
You COULD go for a 1:1 scale but then you will have black bars on the top/bottom and sides of your screen. The solution is not to force 1080p on 1440p but to optimize the game for a 1440p monitor.
Also, its graphics update, not grapich.
Though an earlier comment you made Zere is quite unfortunately correct, the best possible way to play this game would be with a native 1080p monitor. But who wants to downgrade?
