Dc penalties are broken.
Dc penalties should only apply when you force the game to close, or press the escape key and rage quit the match.
I've got a plenty of days of dc penalty due to the following reasons:
-Lost connection with host ( i double checked every single time, my internet did not go down)
-Survivors pull the plug because they were losing and now i have to deal with a 1 hour penalty? that's just stupid.
-When dead by daylight releases an update, you get disconnected from the match, and guess what? you still get the dc penalty because its clearly your fault!
-I can confirm my internet is NOT the problem, i've had very stable connections with other online games for years, but dead by daylight punishes you for the game's errors, now, these penalties STACK and you have to let a whole day pass without a dc, which happens for the reasons i have mentioned, not because I QUIT, i've had this penalty stack to UP TO SEVEN DAYS, and i did NOT DISCONNECT IN PURPOSE ON ANY OF THOSE MATCHES!.
I can tell that it's the game's problem when my rank is not even affected, but im punished with a penalty for no reason at all.

what do devs say about this? easy, they tell you to get a better internet connection, when i already got one that's REALLY GOOD! i play the game very often, and now with all the stuff that's going on in the world, most of us dont have plenty of time, which makes me not able to do ANYTHING in my free time, just because the penalty applied when it was not meant to.

They keep releasing new content to keep the money flowing.

To avoid this penalty you are basically forced not to play for an entire day after the last penalty, i get that the penalty is meant to apply to people that rage quit, survivors just can avoid it by killing thenselves on the first hook, so it doesnt even work properly.

PLEASE, im begging you, fix this broken mechanic.

Sure thing, glad you finally decided to ask.

Here[support.deadbydaylight.com] is a pretty standard connection fix to flush your DNS. It's on the official DBD support site. Try that first.

BHVR has also recommended verifying your game integrity as well as reinstalling EAC.

Personally I'd also suggest trying to run some custom games with friends and see if you disconnect from those as well and when/if you do, if everyone else in the game does too.

Since you're now a little more open to the idea that your computer is having issues, I'll address some of your original post:

The host is a dedicated server and not a player anymore, so if you're disconnecting from the host but nobody else does that does suggest there's a problem with your connection. You say that you have a "REALLY GOOD!" internet connection but remember that it isn't speed that's important in this case, it's stability.

That would be stupid if that was what happened, but it isn't. A Survivor disconnecting only penalizes that survivor (and their SWF group) with a D/C timer, not the killer.

Okay.

You'll still need to fix your connection though if you want to play without D/Cing. Either that or just keep letting the penalty stack up.

my connection is 100% okay, it has NO problems with any other games.

So is mine, I can tell because I've never been disconnected randomly from DBD.

BVHR just need to implement a timer of 5-10 Secs before you dc from the match. So if your connection fails you will still be able to play since you reconnect fast enough.

yeah that fix did not work, today i got disconnected from "the host" around 5 times, this penalty is stacking up and i want to play the event.
If you have a poor pc or connection you shouldn't be allowed to ruin everybody elses experience. Fix your problem then try to play again.

Unfortunate that you waited 6 days before trying it. Are you on WiFi or hardwired in?
