Never ever call that poor excuse fake predator ass invisible again lol.
Plus wraith takes a while to decloak so he can hit you, but spirit just instantly uncloaks and then she smacks you.
...I still like playing as wraith more though. Spirit is better for chases and mindgames at loops to get a hit. But I can't be assed with chases. I like wraith because it lets me get close and get one hit in, and that's all I want. Don't aim for winning the game, aim for at least getting some BP.
Wraith has built in Radar/Wall hack.
Use him with sloppy and nurse's, and you will find that people will be tricked into thinking they are safe, while they are not.
His extra speed allows for some good map pressure, while his addons can make your position and ambushes seem surprising af.
I think Spirit is the better killer, she's pretty top notch. Wraith isn't terrible though, I think some people undervalue his ability to do hit-and-run tactics, I think he's middle of the road basically.
The problem with standing still is that you're hedging all of your bets on survivors walking in front of you. Its worse than Trapper putting all of his traps in one area, since trapper doesn't have to stand still the whole time for it to work.
It might work for camping a hook or something though.
Well with his speed he still has good map coverage even if people are very observant. And I think some of the reason people lose with him is they try and chase one person at a time versus juggling more. Also there's one or two top streamers who like Wraith (Tru3talent does extremely well with him.) So I suspect Wraith's effectiveness is sensitive to playstyle and overall tactical intuition. Basically his goal is to start chases closer than most killers to the target and use his hyper-lunge when he comes out of cloak to get the hit quickly. Then cloak and juggle again, he doesn't want to get into an extended chase out of cloak if possible because at that point he's just a basic attack killer.
I do agree though that he is more vulnerable to swfs since they can jointly try and keep an eye out for him. Spine Chill is also a weakness. My guess is skilled survivors are a wash with a skilled Wraith though in the sense that, while the survivors are more aware of their surroundings, the Wraith main will also be better at using cover to help keep himself from being seen approaching a target. Overall though I think this all keeps Wraith from being above average, he's probably just kind of "ok".
Ah yes use this incredibly rare and valuable add-on in all of your games, why didn't I think of that? Thank god add-ons are so cheap and plentiful and most certainly not a consumable item!
