Do survivors know when a killer is using a HEX perk?
I bought the devour hope one from the shrine but I wanted to know if the survivors have to figure out I'm using a HEX totem for my perks

They won't know right from the start but get a notification when they are affected.
(with devour hope this means as soon as you have enough tokens to insta-down they will get the notification the next time you hit a survivor)

There are only two ways for them to know:
1 - If they see the totem;
2 - If you use the perk's powers (down survivors in one hit or kill them).

The second one will be too late for them.

Yes. Which is a stupid thing.

The survivors will know you have a Hex perk wight from the start if you are using:
Huntress Lullaby,Thrill Of The Hunt, Ruin and Third Seal
For Devour Hope they will now you have it once you get about 3 tokens and hit someone

Ok thanks guys, wow these hex perks would be great if the survivors weren't notified but instead had to deduce they are in use
With this perk you kinda have to rely on being lucky with the spawn point of your hex totem.

I had games where Survivors didn't find it until i've already murdered 2 or 3 by my hands.
I had games where Survivors destroyed the totem, before i was even there.

To avoid frustration - look at it as a wasted perk slot. If it gets destroyed, nevermind, they even give you a reason for camping with destroying your anti-camping perk. But if it works and you get your tokens... hah! :steamhappy:

One more: When a SWF survivor is killed and then reads out the killer's perks to his team.

I mean, anyone who's paying a bit attention will notice without the notification anyway when you suddenly start to insta-down people.

True.
