Why all the Freddy hate?

Nightmare on Elm Street lore: Freddy is a violent man. Gets dream powers from evil entities.
DBD lore: Violent people are given powers by evil entity.

It's the exact same thing! Except none of the killers in DBD have been killed even once while under the entity's infuence and you get a never ending supply of people to kill. This is a much better deal than what Freddy has and he would simply think of it as changing employers since he sees what he's doing on Elm Street as a job given to him by the dream demons.

Which movie? The newest one with Jackie Earle Haley they made him to be a pedophile.

I know in Freddy vs. Jason they said Freddy loves children, "especially little girls." I feel like that strongly implies pedophilia.

He'll bore the Survivors to death. Not sure. If this is paid DLC I am going to pass on it. I never liked Freddy even remotely. Never watched any of the movies to completion. Just not for me.

This is my only problem, he is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ campy and cheesy. Other than that he would be a fine killer. I hope he doesn't talk ingame because that will just get annoying.

In the original concept Freddy Krueger was layed out as child molester, but in the original movies he was made into a pure killer. All hints of his "philia" were supressed by making him the iconic character he became.

He also is based on some real life killers, especially a german serial killer was standing example for Freddy Krueger (also a german surname, by the way) Fritz Haarmann. And there are also some other influences.

There goes a song with Freddy and Fritz... while the song of freddy is a modified nursery rhyme, the Haarmann song is quite different:

He killed mainly boys and young adolescents, and haunted the minds of people with different nicknames like, "The Vampire", "The Butcher", "The Cannibal" or "The Werewolf"... The song of that time hinted, that he sold or gifted away the meat of his victims, which makes his murders even more gruesome.

He haunted the minds of generations in germany, even 90 years later the Name Haarmann is synonymus for the typus of the child molesting serial killer, and the cannibal. The nomers "Vampire" or "Werewolf" came from his self confessed mode of killing, by biting the throat of his victims.

Oh, by the way another serial killer in germany, mainly killing children had the nickname "The Sandman" or also "Uncle Tick Tock" - Adolf Seefeld. He literally hypnotized or sedated his victims, and after he was done with them he let them die in the outdoors, death by hypothermia - he literally killed them by making them sleep.

It's a little sad on that note, because they'll just have him laugh and grunt and such, I expect that. But Freddy 'should/could' be the Killer that talks, because it is a part of him. When you watch things like F13 or Halloween, you have Killers that don't interact with the people, they hunt them down, they stalk, they stab, they kill. Freddy wants to kill you too, but he also wants to torment you as well. Through his interacting with you, he's trying to mess with before he kills you as well.

He's a messed up person, turned into a messed up supernatural Killer, and if there was a Killer they should've considered having a couple of voice lines, even if it's only maybe when he hits people, or when he's hit with pallets, it was probably going to be Freddy.

I honestly think the devs aren't trying for "more killers" specifically. I think they are just dropping killers so they can give killers new, actually useful perks. The actual killer doesn't matter, they are just shoehorning killers to give perks.

He was in MK9 and the game didn't implode. How can y'all be annoyed by what most likely will be a bunch of grunts when the Huntress literally doesn't stop singing?
