"The icon will be kinda more visible than the other versions of it"
And the red outlines of the generators too. Sometimes I just cant see them because the maps are so dark
Tier 1- The static just vaguely shows, but isn't right out there. It's kind of a faded splotch.
Tier 2- That splotch gets a bit brighter and a little bigger, now you can actually see it better.
Tier 3- The static appears as a big white circle around the icon.
It's much easier actually, just by looking at how the Survivor and their surroundings behave:
Once a Survivor screams for the very first time in the game, he's on Madness I.
Once you see Doctor Illusions pop-up whose aura you can't see yet, the Survivor they are looking at is on Madness II. They'll never be able to go back to Madness I so you got that settled.
Once you see a Survivor walk kind of hunched over (a bit like the Hunchback from Notre Dame), they are on Madness III.
If they no longer walk like that, they are Madness II.
Bright, square shaped static = Tier 2,
Very bright, circle shaped static = Tier 3
You can see how 'mad' they are by looking at their status portraits.
