How broken is prove thyself actually
Okay so I did the math standard gen repair is 80 seconds.

All of the following is what we get when tool boxes aren’t being used keep in mind.

2 survivors with prove thyself = 30% boost = 24 seconds shaved off a gen = 56 second gen

3 survivors with prove thyself = 45% boost = 36 seconds shaved off a gen = 44 second gen

All 4 survivors with prove thyself = 60% boost = 48 seconds shaved off a gen = 32 second gen.

A chase takes you at least 27 seconds assuming the killer make zero errors
Plus about 10 seconds to get them to a hook.

If you have a scenario 2 your not stopping the first gen no matter how good you are at chases.

Last is the scenario where every survivor spawns together and the killer has no clue where they are making it impossible to stop that first gen from popping without discordance.

Now add toolboxes with brand new parts and things get even more ridiculous than this.

Even with toolboxes being nerfed to crap did prove thyself need this kind of buff?

Before I’m pretty sure the perk said all survivors on the same gen.

The perk is currently bugged actually, it's only granting a 10% bonus even though it says 15%. This is something I noticed a while back as the repair bar still shows as red when 2 people work on the same gen even though it should be the standard white.

Yes it did. "For every other Survivor working on a generator..."

Also even with prove thyself that progression bar is still red. Pretty sure it's bugged anyway.

1. prove gives 10%. not 15% otherwise your bar wouldn't be red while using this perk

2. only 1 prove can work on 1 gen, so no matter if there are 1 or 4, it will always give 10%

3. you might know how boosts and % works but you don't know how repairing in 2 survivors works:

5. who rly uses prove as thier ace in the hole for gen rush? I use it to have more bp.

6. there is small chance to have gen for 4 survivores, and some maps doesn't have them at all.

They changed it to 15% very recently.

Its been bugged in the past I remember that. But I am not sure of it currently.. I wish I could say more.. It does seem to be functioning in a stronger way than it should be but who knows. Admittedly I have not played as much as I used to.. I might start playing more with the Silent Hill DLC but at the same time.. DBD has kinda gotten stale for me... Harder for me to want to play for some reason.

For every survivor working on a generator within 4 meters range, gain 15% repair speed bonus. This same bonus is applied to all survivors within range. Gain 100% more bloodpoints for coop actions. Survivors can only be affected by one Prove Thyself effect at a time. "Show me what you can do!"-Dwight

Based on the maths it seems broken, but isn't there meant to be a penalty for survivors working on the same generator though? I know prove thyself counters it slightly, but that should be a thing still meaning the maths might be abit off?
I know it's not much and prove thyself is intended to counter it somewhat, but still it feels like this shouldn't be right... I hope it's not right, please tell me you got the maths wrong.

Although for a solo, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ miracle someone completes a gen or so in my usual experience and even so they're doing it alone.
Then again most SWF don't use it because they'd be missing out on their second chance perks.

The penalty is not that high. Its high enough to be only a slight issue but said issue can be overcome easily with a toolbox alone. So....Its easy to tell that the perk makes up for the penalty... and more so if its more than 2 on the gen... and of course if everyone has it that gen will of course go a lot faster. Its possible to get the game to bug out by doing a gen really fast.. That the game will register the gen was done, but not register a gen was done out of the number that needs to be completed.

IE it will still show 5 needing to be done.. Of course it will count it when another gen is done.. Giving a slight illusion that two gens where done at the same time.

"For every other Survivor" i think that meant as personal, for ONE survivor, not stacking as some might get.

Prove thyself doesn't stack by the way.

The only reason i run Prove thyself is because it counters the 15% penalty AND do 1-2 gens with another person and you are set for objective points for the rest of the match.
