Red stain issue

So, I'm not sure if this is just me but whenever I'm in a chase I can barely see the red stain at all. I have to wait till the killer turns the corner because I cannot see them coming due to the red stain being so faint that it might as well be non-existent. Does anyone else have this issue as well?

Well there is two thing :
1) the resolution you play with your parameters can influence what you see . So if you play in extremely low resolution it is possible that you can’t see the red stain properly
2) the red stain is a mark that appear in front of the killer face . If the killer turn his head as he get in a loop , you won’t see the red stain until the last moment.

Pretty sure the killer is just hiding the red stain when turning corners, pretty common trick to do.

Hiding the red stain is pretty much the first technique a killer picks up.

If you can't see the red stain until killer turns the corner, that probably means they're looking the other way, deliberately, until the very last moment. Basically, that means they're walking backwards or, at least, sideways.

Remember: the killer you play against isn't a machine. It's a real person. They can and will use tricks.

But, yeah, just in case: verify the integrity of your game files as the first comment kindly pointed out.

There's also a perk that removes the red stain during bloodlust.
But no one takes it.

Ya, I'm not certain what the issue is. When I watch streamers the red stain is very visible when they go around a corner. But for me it's like the light gets lost in the grass and you can't really see it. My game integrity files are fine too.

Red stains in videos are brighter because of compression. Red is always brighter than normal. You may be like me a red/green colorblind. I also have trouble seeing the stain. I sort of fixed it by setting my graphics to low and turning on colorblind mode in Win 10. If you think you may be colorblind you could always take a free test online.

There are perks and add-ons that tinker with the Red Stain like the Wraith's Soot add-on, maybe that's your issue?

I've had this as an issue since Legion chapter was released. OH I also get an issue where i have the prompt command show on the screen and I can hit the button and my character will do nothing - I have to rotate the camera view OR certain sides of a gen just aren't accessible :D

Also, some killers has really small terror radius. You can't see the red stain until you're in the radius.

Some killers are actually good at the game and know how to moonwalk to hide the red light

You can't see it through walls on certain tiles anymore? I've always played on Ultra, but I recently forgot to switch back to it after trying the game on Low in 4k resolution, and I could see the killers stain through a jungle gym wall. NGL, I've been playing on Low the last few days because of it, lol.
