why did they give everyone untamed donkey jacket?

I got 2 now for david, and im confused cuz i thought items where u had to play at a certain time of an event in dbd like legacy.

in all honestly it seems like a middle finger to all the players that actually was in the event, i remember getting it in the first day cuz it looked so cool...

From what I've heard, people were selling codes of these events skins and getting a lot of money from it, and BHVR didnt liked it, so they decided to give everyone these skins so they could stop them from selling.

I'll correct what he was saying. People were selling fake codes for hundreds of dollars. BHVR didn't like the idea of moronic people being scammed hundreds of dollars for skins they weren't getting. They created the update so it wouldn't happen anymore.

Ig thats valid, however couldnt they just turn off the ability to put a code in to get a skin, and have an announcement saying codes being offered for skins is a scam and people should stay away from it? Cuz them doing this is just a middle finger to the players that actually was in the events, and the people who bought LEGIT codes to redeem the skins.

Only people who played in the event should have the untamed donkey jacket according to the devs, if people have it that didn't do the event, probably glitch

The untamed donkey jacket is the event cosmetic given for the howling grounds event, there were many players whom participated in the event and due to a bug they lost their event cosmetics. Only those that participated should have one, some will have two as they never lost their's originally. I have two myself same with the hound mask as I never lost them in the first place. It wasn't a case of the devs giving out the skin to everyone.
