As a killer, what are considered "bad manners"?
Just curious. I have now a few hours and a number of kills on my belt, but I want to know. What is considered "bad move" or a scornful playstyle? I try not to kill people I recently hooked (apparently called tunneling) but I also want to make sure I can chase down a few survivors.

There have been times I am matched with someone clearly more experienced than the rest of their team, and pursuing them often ends in a red herring. So I tend to leave them for last or only when I know I can attack them (like when they try to help a survivor).

I just want to make sure I can make the match interesting, without frustrating other players. Or myself for that matter.

*As a side note, I really can't see on some maps with thick fog or yellow background like the farm. So those matches tend to be pretty... quiet.

Bad manner for a monster? xD
If you know one survivor is stronger and you want to win, kill the others first, that's basic common sense. If you only want good chases and don't care to "lose", follow that one.

To go back to the "bad manners", I'd say:
_ leaving everybody die on the ground siugged.
_ moving someone to the hatch, passing hooks, then hooking him next to it.
_ in a nutshell: unnecessarily playing with feelings.

For the rest, it's litteraly your choice and nobody has a say.
"Camp" when it's appropriate (Why leave the viscinity of a hook when you know others are there, or when the game is basically over?).
"Tunnel" when it's appropriate (Gens going too fast? Let's play "the objective" too then).
Besides, for the "tunnel" there are many reasons a survivor basically "asked" for it:
_ using his "BT" to block you, (If I'm not using Nurse, I'll wait 15 seconds to finish him)
_ using his "DS" as a "can't touch me" card,
_ thoroughly trying to get your attention (curtsys, cliks, pointing, ...)
Although I usually completely ignore these on purpose, sometimes I'm training/warming up so instead they'll have me "all game". It's even better when others try to block so there is an higher challenge to catch "the ball".

Camping hooks is generally considered unsportsman-like and you also lose points for it

The worst thing you can do is nod your head extensively every time you down someone. Other than that, you don’t have many options.

Ahh I see I see. I have seen people do the nod thing in game and I was wondering what that was about. I do not have those killers so I dont have to worry about that just yet lol. Thanks for the info! and yeah, I figured camping a hook was just against the sport of the game.

If 1 or more survivors DC, I tend to ease up and farm with the rest depending on if they're not being asshats.

Or more over, I tend not to take advantage when survivors DC and the rest are actually playing well and not BM'ing.

Oh yeah I have had a few people disconnect. Happens very rarely, fortunately.

Camping isn’t unsportsmanlike, as long as you’re doing it for a reason. If you know there is a survivor nearby, look for them, don’t just leave. If you’re camping without a strategy, then you’re wasting your time.
Well, looks like we have some fresh meat here, as a Survivor main, it's my job to introduce you our book rules for Killers. Let's start:

1. after hooking a survivor, you need to go AWAY from the hook at least 90 meters. and let us save without any punishment.
2. you can't chase unhooked survivors, even if they're doing gens in your face or being ♥♥♥♥ because they have DS.
3. you need to let the last survivor always get the hatch.
4. don't you dare to slug to get pressure on us, survivors. It's forbidden.
5. you can't play with Nurse, Spirit, Billy, or any other killer that have OP pOwErS(bruh).
6. we can bring keys because wE aRe Good anD wE cAn, if you bring a mori, you're trash and a tryhard, and we will probably suicide on first hook.
7. if we're playing too altruistic, you cannot take advantage of us, even if it means you're going to get 0 kills.
8. you can't camp gens, even if its your objective to defend them. Also don't even dare to make a 3 gen situation on us.
9. only us survivor can have fun. The entity forbid killers having any kind of fun, they're just our toys to play with, so be nice and play along.
10. huntress with iridescent = DC gg tryhard.
11. There's more rules, some fellow survivors main here will probably know more.

not camping people using mics is about the rudest thing you can do
The Prowler May 22, 2020 @ 7:19pm
also over using the word toxic like 98 percent of clones do these days is quite lame as well:shit:

Camping and tunneling aren't cool. Camping is where you're near the hook nearly all the time. Tunneling is when you go after the person who just got off the hook. These kind of actions are frowned upon simply because it makes it unfun for everyone. Also slugging the last person and intentionally watching them bleed out is pretty mean. As long as you avoid doing those 3 things, you're more likely to pip up and it'll be more fun for everyone.

This is just me but I almost always let the last survivor go. You don't have to do that of course, and most killers won't. It's personal preference. I also make sure to only go after those who haven't been hooked recently or at all. While it's not my "job" to make sure everyone has fun... why wouldn't I play the game normally? I want to have fun too as a killer and those things I mentioned above aren't fun. Not to mention I'd more than likely lose pips if I was unsportsmanlike. Sometimes I do accidentally down someone who has recently been hooked when trying to attack another survivor. In this case I let the team get that slugged person up so they have a chance to do objectives.

On a side note, there will always be survivors that are mean to you no matter what. Even if you're a very fair killer. Just ignore them and don't let them get to you. They will always be unhappy no matter what.
