Dead by Daylight
The Oni, tips and tricks?
Just bought Oni because people say he's really fun to play, but damn he is really hard to play, like a lot harder version than Hillbilly xD, anyone can help me with Oni?

Well, I consider myself an average Oni main, and based on my experience I could tell you this:
At the start of the match you need to find someone and hit them as soon as possible. In other words, make them bleed. Hitting a healthy survivor fills your power bar up to ~40%. After that they will start dropping Blood Orbs, your favorite meal. Make sure to absorb every single Orb they drop. Don't think too much about downing them quickly (although make sure to do so should the chance present itself), instead focus on filling up your power gauge. Once it's (almost) full you can either keep chasing or switch target based on the situation at hand.

Try not to activate Oni's power until you can physically see someone, unless you're in a dire situation, let's say you know that survivors are trying to push the last gen and you feel like you need a "nuclear option" and it might pay off. Or something along those lines. Try not to waste your power and if you do, make it count.
Now that's something from my personal experience, and some people may disagree with this piece: when you're in the Demon Mode try not chase survivors in jungle gyms or closed structures. I've seen a lot of people do it and usually, even if they do come out on top, they waste a good chunk of power. I've tried to do it countless times and I can't imagine how other Onis pull this off, unless, of course, survivors aren't playing smart. But as I said, I'm a pretty average Oni, so maybe I just lack some skill in that regard. Still I wouldn't recommend chasing in/near tight spaces, because, in my opinion, Oni excells at catching survivors out of position.

This is also a debatable subject, but I agree with those who say that Infectious Fright is one of the most important perks for Oni due to the insane synergy it has with his power. Usually, after downing and picking up someone you'll have to refill you power with hits/Blood Orbs, so it may take a while before you'll be able to activate your Demon Fury again.
However, with Infectious Fright when you down a survivor, every other survivor in your Terror Radius will reveall their position. Which means that if you're in Demon Mode you can start chaining downs and using your power to its' fullest extent.
Oh, I forgot one thing. When you're in Demon Mode you can hold M1 much longer than usual and you'll have an extended lunge, which seems good on paper. In reality, though, landing this super-lunge is extremely hard because your turning speed is reduced and, on top of that, your camera tilts up so that you can only see the very top of survivor's head. So it's almost always better to hold M1 just a little and then let go. That way you'll have a reasonable amount of control and still will be able to insta-down.

Strafe and drift - that's how to control him way easier than Hillbilly who's limited to more linear movement.
