to increase your FPS:
Go to your windows search bar and type in %appdata%
You should get a folder called roaming.
Go back into the appdata folder and click the local folder instead.
Now click the Dead by Daylight folder.
Go to Saved, Config, WindowsNoEditor. It should look something like this:
AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
[this is also where u turn Vsync on/off - i recommend off]
Now open up "GameUserSettings".
Go to the bottom where it says "FrameRateLimit=x.000000". It should be zero.
I changed it to around 200 and my FPS when up like crazy.
its recommendet by a mod so dont worry, you wont get banned.
if this doesnt help:
put resolution to 60-70% and the game on low ofc. also check your resolution in the usersettings
[/script/engine.engine]
MinDesiredFrameRate=22.000000
SmoothedFrameRateRange=(LowerBound=
(Type=ERangeBoundTypes::Inclusive
(Type=ERangeBoundTypes::Exclusive

to the "Engine-File" unless its not already there. you can find that file above the gameusersettings in the same folder
in the GameUserSettings
once opened Press Ctrl + F that opens a search bar: Type in "sync" without the quoutes, hit enter and u will be right on the spot of vsync options. set "true" to "false" and done
or just scroll through the text in the gameusersettings :D whatever is easier for you ^^
I appreciate the help, I'll try contacting support. At least now I have higher fps at times when the game runs correctly :D
It also gives random controller prompts even when you're not touching it but that doesn't affect performance as far as i'm concerned.
I'd try to unplug your controller if i were you (that is assuming you have one at all).
