Initialization Error
Whenever I try to start the game it gives this error and claims that restarting may resolve the problem but it doesn't work. I tried some solutions I found on the internet like removing the 381210 file thing but nothing seems to work. Have I got banned or something? Is the game just ashamed of telling me the truth that I got banned and it is merely trying not to make me sad?

I had tried verifying too... I resetted my internet, reactivated cloud thingy, literally guys nothing works. Will I ever be able to play it again? lol
Which Initialization error? Can you take a screen shot or type out anything else the error says?

I can't upload pics I think, here:

Only thing it says is "the game has initialized incorrectly and may not save your game properly. Restarting the game may solve the problem" thats all

I know you mentioned trying to delete folder and what not but since the master fix it thread on the official dbd forums suggest doing the following without missing any steps I thought I'd check that you did the following exactly in order:

-Launch Dead by Daylight and alt-tab out of it. Make sure it is running in the background

-Navigate to your Steam Library. Right-click on "Dead by Daylight" and click "Properties"

-Click the "Updates" tab and un-check "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Dead by Daylight" and click "OK"

-Close Dead by Daylight running in the background

- Navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\(Your Unique ID)\381210" (or similar in your installation directory for Steam

- Delete the contents of the folder you're in, which should be a file called "remotecache" and a folder called "remote"

- Navigate to your Steam Library. Right-click on "Dead by Daylight" and click "Properties"
Click the "Updates" tab and check "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Dead by Daylight" and click "OK"

- Exit Steam completely (this can be done by opening the Steam client, clicking "Steam" from the top-left corner and selecting "Exit" from the drop-down menu)

- Start Steam and launch Dead by Daylight via the library --> play game. The initialization error should be fixed.

That sucks :(

Ok you've also tried verifying game files right? Did they find anything or did they check out ok?

Can you try starting the game again and then grab and upload the most recent DBD log file somewhere that I can look at it? It's hidden by default and located here:

~Users\UserNameGoesHere\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs

Were you able to figure out the issue? I have the same error popping up and I have tried everything I could. Still isn't working for me, hasn't worked for almost a whole day.

Make sure you have EAC and DBD folder added to exception lists for any anti-virus you use including windows defender, and also that the time & date is set correctly on both your computer and your router/modem as well.
