If you use an anti-virus make sure it's updated as well.
Did you try manually importing required Root Certificates?
1 . Go here: https://support.globalsign.com/ca-certificates/root-certificates/globalsign-root-certificates
2 . Download: R3 GlobalSign Root Certificate --> https://secure.globalsign.net/cacert/Root-R3.crt
3. Use Windows+R to open Run and type MMC in the empty box and then press ENTER.
4. On the File menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.
5. Under Available snap-ins, click Certificates, and then click Add.
6. Select Computer account, and then click Next.
7. Click Local computer, and click Finish and then Ok.
8. In the console tree, double-click Certificates.
9. Right-click the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.
10. Under All Tasks select Import.
11. Import Wizard will open up. Click Next.
12. Click Browse. Navigate to the file you downloaded: Root-R3.crt
13. With Root-R3.crt selected click Open

18. Reboot and see if you can play.
just to make sure, you meant reboot the computer, if you did then no luck
Are you getting the same error as before?
Your Windows is updated, correct?
When you followed those steps to manually add root certificates on step 16 did you get the message saying import was successful?

Interesting. Ok try this.
Delete each of the following EasyAntiCheat 3 folders (Note that appdata is hidden by default, so if you can't locate it then you need to look in your folder settings and check the box allowing you to view hidden files, folders and drives):
~Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\EasyAntiCheat
~Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat
~Users\UserNameGoesHere\AppData\Roaming\EasyAntiCheat
After you make sure that each of those 3 folders are deleted, verify game files for Dead By Daylight. It should notice the missing files and download them.
Once that is done, start Dead By Daylight via the library tab in Steam not from a desktop shortcut etc.
If that happens to work great, but if it fails for the same or any other reason then please do the following:
Make copies of these 3 text files, upload them somewhere and send me a link to them or add me and I'll give you my email address you can send them to:
Most recent DBD log file named DeadByDaylight.txt located here:
~Users\UserNameGoesHere\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
GameLauncher.txt located here: ~Users\UserNameGoesHere\AppData\Roaming\EasyAntiCheat
