Without trying specifically for BPs, I will get 15-20 on average as survivor. I'll usually get somewhere between 20-40 as killer.
It's offset a bit by the lobby wait time though.
This times 1000
With killer regardless of how long the match is, you have to be there for all of it. With survivor, you can leave before the match is over (either by escaping or dying) and instantly get another match
A killer without at least yellow add-ons in rank 10+ that isn't meta tends to not do very good.
Do you know how awful Trapper is without a trapper's bag? Or Wraith without faster decloak? Doc without therapy range add-ons? Freddy without lower skill check chances?
They feel horrible, is what.
Killers getting more points per match on average does not translate to more points per time-played.
Currently there is no way of telling the points per time-played as we don't have the data nor do the devs seem to understand what information is important to collect and collate.
Meanwhile, BP gain for Survivors for achieving main goal is more rewarding, same as if Killer DC its more rewarding for Survivors, than 4 Survivors DCed for Killer.
And as been said in my post already, I think that competitve SWF/Solo groups, which tend to use specific strategies gain more BP on average, than Killer for same amount of time (with taking into account successful/failed trials and lobby waiting time).
Anyway, main reasons why Killers get more BP already mentioned:
- Killers hosting and binded to trial progression, while Survivors could leave/suicide and move to next trial
- Killers usually wait more in general, since 1:4
- Killer's add-ons are 1 time use and they don't have any other sources of gaining them
- good Perks for Killers are more important, than for Survivors on average (with Survivors, imo, you usually need good team and items more)
I still would like to see Killers being able to get add-ons/offerings via destroying chests and make average BP grind a bit more hard, but with buffing those Killers.
As for Survivors getting more rewards for secondary goals and stuff like being camped would be nice.
Survivors have their own "double points" perk but it's far, far inferior to BBQ - WGLF has no benefits other than bloodpoints, and the criteria for getting four stacks are much, much harder to meet (four hook rescues? So the killer has to hook the other three survivors at least four times between 'em - bearing in mind it's literally impossible to get more than six rescues from three survivors - AND you have to reach the hooked survivor first, and escape the encounter clean to get the rescue three more times? Yeah... that's not easy.)
I've had awesome games as survivor when I feel as though I've done everything I possibly could do including surviving, and end up with <20,000 bloodpoints. Meanwhile a mediocre game as Wraith nets me 27,000 bloodpoints, and that's not even taking BBQ into account. Would definitely like to get more BP as survivor.
And as for the "killers get fewer games" argument, well that seems to be a fallacy - to get ANY points as survivor, you need to be in the game for the maximum length of time possible. Ok, you might get through three games in fifteen minutes, but you'll get about three thousand bloodpoints from each one if you're lucky.
