Actually Until Dawn was pretty big. So everyone practically knows what a wendigo is by now.
While I'm sure the Wendigo from Until Dawn was most definitely an inspiration for this killer, there is absolutely no evidence to support that this creature is part of the Hag's lore. Especially considering that she has her own lore already, which is that she was a nice old lady who was tortured. (Basically).
