You can delete the intro video from your game files. It's just an MP4 file. It doesn't affect the anti-cheat, and the game will boot straight onto the 'PRESS SPACE TO CONTINUE' screen.

It's called LoadingScreen.mp4, and its under:

steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\DeadByDaylight\Content\Movies

You can also turn the News feature off under C:\Users\You\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor.

The variable is in a file named GameUserSettings.ini

Set the value to 0, and set the file to read-only. The game will then always believe you have seen the latest news update.

HighestWeightSeenNews=0 ?

If I remember, that's the one. I'm not sure, it's been a while. It's the only one that refers to news.

I changed it to 0, read-only but news still pops up :/

Then unfortunately I can't remember which one it is, but it's definitely something in that GameUserSettings.ini file, because if you set it to read-only and launch the game over and over, the news ALWAYS pops up, because the game can't write to that file and tell it that you've seen the latest news.

It's something in there, I'd test it but I'm not at home at the moment. Sorry.

I figured it out thanks to OP and you

In "C:\Users\[Your User]\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor" and the GameUserSettings.ini, find the line "HighestWeightSeenNews=0" and set it to "HighestWeightSeenNews=1" and you'll have no news notification. DO NOT SET THE FILE TO READ ONLY!

I believe it had to actually be changed to 1 because the line checking if you've seen the news has a "0", which is "false" in binary, so setting it to "1" is the equivalent of the game checking and seeing that you have seen the news.

Pressing ENTER repeatedly does the trick.

FOR SKIP THE INTRO JUST PUT THIS LINE ON GAME.INI:
[/script/movieplayer.movieplayersettings]
bWaitForMoviesToComplete=False

AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Game.ini

TELL ME IF HELPED AND GIVE ME THANKS
