Hit the others, get mad stacks and then take out the obsession.
There's more to it and it can become strategic:
Build stacks and (if you can) 1 shot obsession to reduce losing stacks.
Slug obsession on last hook and build up the stacks so you keep a full perk when the ob dies on the hook.
That's where the thinking comes in. You gotta change the playstyle to keep the stacks.
IMO stbfl is only good on myers using the scratched mirror on docs map or teleporting like crazy as the Hag.
