Oni is not fun to play against
Once someone is injured its pretty much gg unless the killer is a complete potato. From then on he pretty much has super speed, no cool down when coming out of sprint and insta downs. Palette stuns don't even deplete his power.like Ghostface or Legion. He can snowball a game way too easily. Not fun to play against as survivor and way too easy as a killer.

aaaah so the suggestion to use L or T walls, 4x SWF or to get a key is a viable solution to the Oni ? i honestly think not. suggesting that folk should run to others is says hey oni kill us all since getting one of us dooms us alll, yea nice bait

lmao i see no suggestion to this so called "counter play" in yer post. nice try :)
I gave several suggestions already on post #19 on how to deal with the Killer. I am a Killer main, so I know what Survivors that arent worth chasing.

If you run early, the Killer isnt going to give chase. Not worth the time to slowly run you down then get looped. Rin Spine Chill.

If you lead the Killer towards other Survivors working gens. Odds are he will let you go to prevent losing that gen. Use Bond or Empathy.

If you avoid the Killer. He wont bother wasting time looking around every single nook/cranny. Iron Will helps.

If the Killer has a weak early game, KEEP him weak for as long as possible!

Not sure leading a killer to your teammates on a gen will go down well or help the team achieve their objectives in the game. The other "strategies" I've seen is hide and don't get hit. Very hard to achieve against a killer that can zoom across the map in seconds.. Like I said previously 9 out of 10 games will have a survivor injured in the first minute or two at which point Oni becomes very over powered.

He really does need some balance adjustments. Getting hit with a pallet should bring him out of his power and he needs a longer cool down from goinf between his dash and one hit down attack,.

Such a stupid reply "oh you guys are clearly killer mains" No. we're not. We are survivors who have clearly looped an Oni, otherwise we wouldn't be giving advice that the best way to play against ONI IS LOOPING HIM?!
unloopable killer = op as always
The entire game is based around looping as survivor. tf else is survivor supposed to do? Stealth is pretty much dead for survivors, but very much alive for killers. Survivors have two health states for a reason. They have pallets and windows for a reason. Imagine asking that killers be balanced around this concept. Every Oni I go up against gets an insane amount of insta downs with very little downsides. You are pretty much forced to hide while he pops the weasel (which has no counter btw and is very strong) on every gen or loop until you have no pallets left. Oni and Spirit are like the brain dead versions of nurse and billy.

"Team"

That's where the problem is. Survivors arent a "team". They are just a group of people trying to survive. You can work together, or against each other. As long as you survive, nothing else matters.

DbD isnt a co-op game. Its co-optinal. You arent playing a 4v1 of us against the Killer. It's 4 1v1s at the same time of you against the Killer with randoms to use how ever needed. Be that for good or worse.

Its really not "co optional" if survivors dont work as a team, the entire match falls apart very quickly. This is why solo is such a disaster right now. Everybody basically just plays for the hatch. When the community was small players cared about their reputation and helped each other and the overall game play was of far better quality and a lot more fun. Now we just have a bunch of crouching potatoes saying they are good bc they waited for everyone to die to get hatch and never take any risks for the team. Congrats, youre killing solo mode. And when your type of player doesnt get helped bc they play selfishly they dc or suicide.

SWF is neither fun to play against and with, while being in Solo Q.

Your overall statement in the title doesn't make sense, as we could pinpoint everything that we don't like, and call it unfun to play as or against.

Honestly, he better won't get nerfed.

sounds like you want to roflstomp every killer?

may i suggest swf with voice coms perhaps?

Cheating shouldn't be the solution.
That being said stealth works wonder against Oni.
Poltergeist 2019 年 12 月 7 日 上午 1:23
honestly Oni is SO EASY to loop around, even I, who is absolutely almost unable to loop any killer, am able to loop him around the walls long enough for his rage to expire.

I mean it is pretty much the same if you play against the clown for exemple ... But it still have counter play

Im a solo player. Should only swf play the game now?
As a Wraith main that doesn't mind what people say about it, I wish they'd remove Survive With Friends, simply for the removal of external voice chat, and an added fear of being alone with strangers that need to work together.

Some folks have no idea how beneficial that voice chat is, when you can coordinate vocally across the entire map. I think as a team, at least one of you should be given a chance to survive, with whatever resources only the game provides you. Any more than one survivor escaping and I'd chalk it up to good team work and a good game.

You dont have to work as a team though. It's an option. If 1 person dies, the other 3 can use that to escape. In fact you WANT others to get caught and hooked in order to earn your emblems off of unhooks, healing, and rescues.

Survivors are encurged to treat other Survivors as a resource. One to be used as needed.

Co-optional. Sometimes survival means making sacrifices. Dont let it be you.

Nah i'm not in low ranks. Been rank 1 as survivor and killer many times. This isn't a skill issue, its a matter of balance. Jungle gyms are in short supply in many maps and not all survivors use them effectively. Especially playing as solo survivors you'll mostly get uncoordinated players going down in seconds. At best you can waste some time but that's all you'll achieve. I'm not sure why that would be considered fun for anyone, even the killer. The gameplay is boring for both sides.

That's how DbD is suppose to play out. A single Survivor shouldn't be able to do all that much against the Killer. Stall for as long as you can, but you will die sooner or later.

It's up to you to lose the Killer, prevent him from finding you, make use of him finding someone else, or make him chase someone else. Survival isn't suppose to be easy. Sometimes you will simply die and sometimes you will escape. Can't win them all and gotta make due with what you got.

doesn't matter, it aint fun
if it aint fun = no player

you are encouraged to help your team mates, not farm them. yeah, you have the option to play selfishly but its also stupid.

I solo play, having play against and as the Oni, he's...weak if you optimize your loops he's easy as ♥♥♥♥, his super speed around corners doesn't work well on tight turns, and both take time to get out of it which means you can move away from him, SC is strong as hell against him, even if he can track you he can't catch you since he's basically just an M1 killer
