If there are no dull totems left, then NOED simply does not trigger.
That's the risk/reward of using it.
Once it becomes active though, it's a lit totem just like any other.
Back about 8-10 months ago, NOED wasnt as common, so, people didnt bother with totems, now, EVERY GAME is NOED, so, we just do them now.
And, they honestly made it WAY harder to find totems a few months back, so, no, survivors are actively looking for them now, because, you HAVE to.
Blame all the NOED or die trying killers, I never run NOED, havent for a year, makes life easier not trying to guard every damn totem, and, since all games are NOED, people waste time in my games killing totems, almost like a baby Ruin, kind of funny...
I always play NOED with Trapper and I guarantee that if the survivor repair all gens in less than 6-8 minutes, NOED always spawns to me. If the match was longer, sometimes not but i don't mind as I had fun and will probably kill 3/4 survivors anyway. NOED is to punish genrush and works. Confirmed!
