NVDIA Game filters - bannable ?
Hello :)

So i noticed that i had this filter option on NVDIA while playing.
I was wondering if it's bannable to use it for playing ?

Because since i'm an artist i don't want to change the value of brightness of my monitor as it would affect the value of brightness and contrast of my artworks.

So if i use the game filters to make my game looks normal instead of darker like it is right now, would i get banned ?

Thank you !

Maybe yes, maybe no; Nobody can tell, as EAC system works differently, and even the Developers themselves can't tell you, why and what you're gonna get banned for.

I'd make sure by asking them. Better safe than sorry, I guess.

Of course not. Moreover seeing how devs don't pay attention to survivors using stretched resolutions or even modifying files to make red light bigger and brighter.
We can call these guys and the ones who use discord like... vip cheaters.

The annoying thing about the NVIDIA Filters is that sometimes you can use it and sometimes it tells you that DBD isn't supported.

Streamers are using it and they're fine so i'd say you're good to use it.

It's extremely common for people to use different resolutions other than their monitors native resolution for a variety of reasons, and always has been, in practically every PC game ever made.

You can make the red light brighter but it's still exactly the same size, just seems like it's bigger because it's brighter.

You wouldn't see it if they use it cause it's local.
Mostly its just filters of the game scene.

Nvidia Freestyle and ReShade are white-listed by EAC.

Freestyle absolutely sucks though and even worse you have to use that god awful Geforce Experience just to use it which is even more garbage than Freestyle, so I'd suggest using ReShade.

Sure. Survivior playing with a 1080 x 1080 to see more than they should see and not let the killer do mindgames, sure.
I've been in dbd tournaments and I know what i am talking about.

That has nothing to do with nvdia freestyle, that's editing ini and it's totally different.
Nvidia freestyle let's you modify ingame brightness (can be done for free with some high end monitors) and visual effects.

Even huntress crosshair isn't bannable so you're fine

Nvidia filters are part of software that are not part of the driver needed to run the graphics card.
Since it is not software included with dead by daylight this is considered 3rth party software.

3rth party software that gives an advantage and that is against the rules, unless it is whitelisted by the rules.

In other words... use at your own risk.
