1. The survivors cant reveal ghostface, now he can just hold m2 and expose you, with dedicated servers this can mean a free down for doing little to nothing.
2. The ghostface can't stalk survivors, but survivors can reveal ghostface and take him out of his power for free. If you're a good survivor on a decent map, you just run around an m1 killer and wait for his power to come back. Pray his power doesn't bug against your favor next time around.
I've played a ton of GF and against GF since dedicated servers came out and havent seen a clear reason to why either of these bugs happen...but they are annoying.
"salt". Another kid who can't think for himself and wants to be part of the cool club.
ontopic: Because he's boring to play against.
Hides his radius and stain, has infinite 1hit downs, and 9 out of 10 times you can't hear his cloak flapping when he's near.
If his power worked as it should, he would be a pretty mediocre killer.
They tend to be awful people, who are the most likely to run mori's, camp/tunnel (Like actually), and they all seem to run noed for some reason.
Then you have his broken mechanics, you are supposed to reveal him by looking at him....that....just flat out doesn't work 90% of the time; or sometimes you are well hidden and it starts revealing him which gives away YOUR hiding spot which is stupid and makes no sense.
A lot of people play him, a lot of people act toxic with him, and his mechanics are not structurally sound. Those are the primary three reasons why.
People h a t e these killers altough they aren't even considered that good and I often noticed people DCing after they got downed by those. Their design makes them laugh after a successful hit, which rises the salt level. I mean who wants to get made fun of while "dying"?
Similar with GF. He's expected to teabag a downed person and his mori looks personal and spiteful, so I noticed tons of DCs during this. In general, GFs are known to be mean and trolling.
It's just a guess and it is certainly not the only reason, but I think it do has an influence on how people perceive a killer (psychological-wise). There is no way of proper communication between survs and killers so that's just how you'll get judged at first glance.
And then of course all the bugs, people and lags of dbd do the rest.
Survivors hate when they can't clearly tell what's going on. They hate when a ghostface reveal them instantly and they don't know where he is which tends to ""cheap"" oneshots. His power works as intended 80% in a match, but the other 20% is glaring as all hell.
It's also hard to not play ghostface as an asshole as when you get a survivor hooked, there's nothing stopping you from camping a hooked survivor - as the rescuer would immediately be applied Make Your Choice if stalked correctly.
That said however, it doesn't mean that ghostface is unbalanced. He's probably one of the more balanced killers out there. It's just that his counterplay is often time inconsistent, leading to a lot of games where it feels cheap.
I'm a GF main since he got released so I think I can easily tell you why some people hate him so much.
That's all, hope it helps to answer your question
