Do people not understand BT or what?
I save you from hook, i have BT applied, it pops up on your screen you have BT active, you decide to not tank a hit for me when you could off, or at the very least block the killers path to allow me time to run off to a pallet/loop.

Borrowed Time is a perk to help your unhooked teammates escape, not help you escape by becoming a temporary shield. Don't expect people to tank hits for you, especially since a lot of killers become annoyed if perks like BT and DS are abused and start tunneling the unhooked person while they would normally be chasing you instead.

Not everyone is a pro player. What does it even look like, when BT is active but has not triggered yet?

small notification in the right hand side of the screen IIRC. Kind of like "We'll make it."

Most survivors I play with never run BT, so I never bother looking for it. I'm guessing they assume I have DS or something because they unhook me in front of a killer 9/10 times, but the sheer fact none of us are the obsession should tell you I don't have DS.

Never once did i say its for my benefit only. they had BT active, they can tank a hit or block the killer for a second or 2 to help me, since i helped them. Not asking for a miracle here or what Zylon over here says is only a PRO player thing to do. the only people who dont know how to use it are new players, but most times i unhook somebody with it, they dont ever bother helping me, after i helped them, and also gave them BT.

they know what it is because when i get into the end game, i see they a red rank with maxed out perks. i could just not unhook you, take any risk and just self care in a corner instead i guess.

this is why i like to use BT. im trying to help my team, not just unhook you for some easy farming points and run off and basically i killed you, as the teammate. it happened to me so much i like to help others.

I feel like it isn't super obvious to them being a small icon at the side of the screen.

Just noobs basically. I love to eat hillbilly's chainsaw with BT.

Not every player pays attention to BT..I save people without BT to do a 1 for 1..when the killer is proxy camping..and i run behind the survivor to take the hit xD..and some survivors be like Nah ill take it then gets downed xD

Unhooked person is not obligated to tank a hit for you just because you saved them from a hook. Also, Borrowed Time is an anti-tunneling perk and you're asking people to abuse it by deliberately tanking hits. Good killers don't fall for tanking with Borrowed Time and if the unhooked person gets too cocky with it, they might be tunneled down.

Wrong, the point of BT is trying to save someone from a camper. If i decide risking my ass against a camper just to save you then you can at least show some love back and take that damn hit.

YOu know what the issue is about most BT users? They do not understand the concept of hiding the fact that you have BT until the end...just because you have BT does not mean you need to reveal it to the killer.

even if i do happen to use BT i still make safe saves (most of the time, unless killer camps or tunnels for sure)..and only at the end game do i let the killer know i have BT.

there is some power in mystery is what i am saying xD

using a BT perk to its fullest potential is not abusing it. its being smart/wasting more off the killers time.

abusing a perk is something like USING OoO in a SWF team with coms.

Uh no..im sorry but abusing the perk, is using the perk while leading the killer to the player on the hook to unhook them...sure it allows them a chance to get away..but considering its not end game..it really only secures your points and does not really protect the survivor at all.

Now its different if you were sneaking and got caught and just unhooked him as to prevent struggling..but a lot of the time..survivors will just unhook the survivor 5-10 seconds after being hooked because they have BT. (but honestly i am not sure it is the players fault entirely because tomes exist and that entices the behavior)
